Opportunity to volunteer at Citizens Advice Bureau, Huntingdon

Citizens Advice Bureaux give free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a limitless range of subjects including debt, benefits, housing, legal matters, employment, immigration and consumer issues. We are open to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality or disability.

Rural Cambs CAB are looking for a Gateway Assessor to work at their Huntingdon Town Hall Drop In Centre. This involves recording details on our database and completing other relevant admin tasks whilst listening and learning from experienced Adviceline Telephone Assessors. You would then have the opportunity to train to be a Telephone Assessor if you wish.

Being an Adviceline Assessor is a challenging, rewarding and varied role. You will learn new skills, meet new people and make an active difference to peoples" lives. We have a real team spirit at Citizens Advice and we provide a supportive environment to make sure that everyone gets the most out of their time with us.

Skills Needed

Good computer skills are needed, along with a polite telephone manner. We train volunteers and support them in their role.
